I am a professor of physics at the State University of Campinas, in Brazil, working with gravitation (Relational Mechanics, Mach's principle and the origin of inertia, absorption of gravity), electromagnetism (Weber's electrodynamics and Ampere's force between current elements), cosmology (Hubble's law of redshifts, cosmic background radiation, tired light, infinite universe in space and time) and history of science.

On this site are found five articles that deal with physics review and the development of a new energy concept.  Reviewed are:  Einstein's works, Newton 's works, Maxwell's works, Gravitational Force Field (GFF), Electromagnetic radiation, Cosmology, Quantum Physics, and the Speed of Light and developed are: a new energy concept, Frequency shifts and the Speed of light as a function of wavelength and media (GFF).

It is important to understand that modern day technology has been a process. The best way to study the process is historically. e.g. The vacuum tube came before the transistor, the transistor is the precursor to the latest in integrated circuits, and Einstein's works were initiated because he thought that there was a discrepancy between the works of Newton and Maxwell.

I am currently engaged in the development of the theory of electromagnetic retardation and relativity. Perhaps the most important recently discovered aspect of the now evolving theory of electromagnetic retardation is that this theory leads to, and duplicates, many electromagnetic relations that are customarily considered to constitute consequences of relativistic electrodynamics. It is now clear that relativistic electromagnetism and relativistic mechanics can be derived from Maxwellian electromagnetic theory and electromagnetic force relations via the theory of electromagnetic retardation without any postulates, conjectures, or hypotheses. As a result, the theory of relativity acquires a new mathematical and physical base which provides a previously unforeseen means for formulating, developing, and interpreting relativistic electromagnetism, relativistic mechanics, and relativistic gravitation.

From the Greek philosophers to string theorists, this is the chronology of discoveries in physics and cosmology. According to Legend, Archimedes discovered the principle of buoyancy while taking a bath. He jumped out and ran through the streets shouting "Eureka!" The scientific revolution took off 1800 years later after Gutenberg introduced the printing press in Europe and Coperincus broke the old cosmology and put humans in their place away from the center of the universe. Since then, thousands of scientists have experienced that Eureka moment when they realized that they have seen a fundamental truth not known before.

Nordström Gunnar
(english)

www.helsinki.fi/~eisaksso/nordstrom/nordstrom.html

Gunnar Nordström was certainly not the only physicist who made an attempt to formulate special relativistic theory of gravitation. He is distinguished by having been the first, and also the most successful at an attempt that was doomed to fail.
In 1916, when the only physical argument in
favor of general relativity was the explanation of the perihelion advance of the planet Mercury, Nordström gave up his own, then still current theory in favor of Einstein's. His seemingly abrupt change of mind is a result of ten years of thinking in terms of Minkowskiian electrodynamics, and getting no further with it.
